Supported by the Spanish Cooperation and the Government of El Salvador, it aims to revitalize the Nahua language and culture of this Central American country. Founded in 2012 by Spanish composer Sonia Megías, it consists of the following steps:
1) Location of the Nahua-speaking communities.
2) Location of the singers within these communities.
3) Recording of the songs that these people remember or have recreated from memory.
4) Revision and translation of the texts by Nawat linguists.
5) Musical transcription of the melodies.
6) Arrangement for children’s and youth choirs and orchestras.
7) Rehearsals with local choirs and orchestras.
8) Concerts with these songs, sung by children and young people together with Nahua speakers.
9) Publication in paper and pdf of the text and music of these songs for later dissemination within and outside the country.
